The candidate who has passed Intermediate Science Examination (HSC-Pre-Medical Group) for the year 2017 Annual or Annual / Supplementary exam of 2016 securing at least 60% marks in aggregate, unadjusted, from Pakistani Board / University or an equivalent examination of a Board of Higher Secondary Education in Pakistan shall be eligible to apply for admission in MBBS.

The candidate who has passed any other examination of a foreign university or examination body for the year 2017 Annual or Annual / Supplementary examination of 2016 which contains the subjects declared as essential by PMDC in scope and standard and whose marks are found equivalent upon certification by the IBCC (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen) to the Intermediate Science Pre-Medical (F.Sc. with 60% marks) Education, shall be eligible for admission in MBBS.
  • The following categories of students shall be eligible for admission on the overseas seats.
    • Students, who have physically studied and passed secondary school certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination or equivalent examination outside Pakistan during their stay abroad and have a certificate from the institution last attended to this effect, will be treated as overseas candidate, except if they have studied in school run by Pakistani embassy.
    • These students need to have passed an examination equivalent to intermediate level of Pakistan with three science subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects with 60% marks in each as certified by IBCC.
    • The candidate will be required to submit IBCC equivalence Certificate separately for grades equivalence to SSC and HSC attested by the School’s Principal / Officer.
    • In lieu of the provincial government entry test of the admission authority, the candidate is required to have passed SAT-II examination with minimum 550 marks in each of the three subjects of which two have to be Biology and Chemistry or MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24. However, they would be required to appear in the Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College aptitude test.
    • The fee will be according to the policy of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, Islamabad for overseas candidates.
    • The applicants will be required to complete other formalities / requirements as laid down by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, Islamabad and Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College for admission to 1st year MBBS class against overseas quota modified time to time.
Final selection will be made on the basis of Matric marks 10% weightage, Inter marks 40% weightage, test marks 37.5% weightage, Interview marks 6.5% weightage, and Aptitude test marks 6.0% weightage.
Liaquat National Medical College is affiliated with the Jinnah Sindh Medical University and are being trained in modular system in semesters.
Test paper contains objective type questions including English, General Knowledge and Problem solving questions.
Yes, we require provincial test score for local candidates.
Limited accommodation (subject to the availability of seats) is available on first come and first get basis with in the premises of LNH for both male and female medical students from out of Karachi.

LNMC has a research committee of students. All the research activities are supervised by research & ethical committees, which comprises of Chairperson and 8 – 10 members. The research committee has developed its own guidelines for submission of research projects meeting the international Helsinki Guidelines. Regular meetings are held to assess the submitted research projects and if necessary revisions and changes are done in research protocols. Once the research protocol along with the budget & time line is approved then it is referred to ethical review board before final approval. Research committee has substantial funds and encourages students & faculty to participate in national or international conferences and submit articles to international & national journals and provides financial support. To date our Medical students have published multiple papers in local and international journals as well as read papers both locally as well as internationally.
The Medical College is registered with FAIMER, ECFMG, International Medical Education Directory (IMED), Avicenna (WHO) Directory, General Medical Council (GMC)U.K, and Canadian Resident Matching Service(CaRMS),AMC,HPCSA.
Yes MBBS only. But beside LNMC we have School & College of Physiotherapy, School & College of Nursing, BS Medical Technology in Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Operation Theater Sciences, Dialysis Technology, Critical Care Sciences, Diagnostic, and Radiology.
